Frysman update

At this point, it is not the 6th edition of Frysman, but the Corono virus that is keeping all of us busy. It has a huge impact on public health and our daily lives; people getting ill or even worse. It impacts our working and social routines and of course our sports activities.

The current situation demands us to be creative, agile and flexible. We’ve seen tremendous examples of people training indoors, developing improvised swimtrainers, organizing digital competitions or exercising together with family members. That proofs the triathletes inventive, agile mindset!

Tonight (March 23), the measures taken by the Dutch government were extended till June 1st. Of course, we are continuously following these developments also regarding Frysman on July 11th. We are preparing for all possible scenarios.

Whatever it turns out to be; as you may expect from us, we will always act and decide in the best interest of the athlete.

It is clear that the planned course recce of May 9th is cancelled. For all further decisions we will await the developments the next few weeks and keep you posted.

For now, we want to urge you to stay out of the drafting zone also in your personal lives, stay healthy, train sensible, take care of each other and hopefully we’ll meet again in person soon!
